The wonderful thing about sharing testimony is we realize there are others and usually MANY others just like us!! We learn we all share similar struggles, feelings and needs. God created us to be creatures in need of relationships and one another. We crave to create bonds and friendships with others. We are not designed to live out life alone. No matter what season of life you are in, young or old, you have others right there with you.
Healing does not happen immediately. It is not automatic. In this fast paced world it cannot happen with a simple pill or fix. Healing is a process. It requires time, patience, and surrendering. It may require sharing with a group of others, reflecting quietly alone or talking to a professional. God has placed the holy spirit in your heart and through that spirit you will never be left alone. Even in the darkest moments when despair creeps in, you are cared for as His own.
I am not claiming to be a professional or have all the answers. What I do have is the love of Jesus in my heart and the ability to finally, after nearly 10 years, talk about the most grave and painful time of my life. The shame I have felt for so many years was washed away by the blood of Jesus and I no longer have to live in fear of the world and what others may think. I have a mission and that is to share the love of Jesus Christ and His ability to SAVE us from eternal death. I want to serve Him in making disciples for the Kingdom. For the best it yet to come! As this is not our home.
If you have yet to give your life over to Jesus Christ ... why? He is the only one who can offer you true happiness, fullness, love, contentment and HEALING. The bible is full of incredible verses of God's promise of healing.
O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. - Psalm 30:2
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. - Psalm 103:2-4
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men. - Psalm 107:19-21
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. - Jeremiah 17:14
He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." - Mark 5:34
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. - Revelation 21:4
